Transport Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Transport Coordinator to manage and oversee logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining accurate documentation, and managing relationships with freight forwarders and transport providers.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure that all logistics-related documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date, including shipping documents, customs paperwork, and transportation agreements.

· Coordinate and book transportation for goods, including selecting the appropriate routing and ensuring the best value for the company.

· Communicate transportation requirements to logistics partners.

· Request and review transport quotes from freight forwarders.

· Analyze and evaluate quotes to ensure cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and suitability for the company’s needs.

· Track and monitor the progress of shipments from origin to destination.

· Ensure timely updates are provided to stakeholders regarding the status of the shipment and any delays.

· Work closely with freight forwarders to ensure smooth transportation and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.

· Address and resolve any discrepancies or delays with freight forwarders.

· Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage inventory effectively and reduce storage-related issues.

Key Qualifications

· Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

· Familiarity with shipping regulations and import/export documentation is preferred.
